Destress with a little bit of Self-care

Destress with a little bit of Self-care

By Kim Joseph

Let’s face it, life can be stressful especially with the way this last year and a half has played out. Life comes at you from all different angles and although everyone’s stress triggers may be different, they can manifest in similar ways in the body. Symptoms like aches and pains, insomnia, headaches, a racing heart, chest pains, high blood pressure, jaw clenching, stomach or digestive problems, muscle tension (and the list goes on) are all physical signs of stress.

To cope with their stress, some people turn to behaviors such as smoking, excessive drinking, drugs, gambling, overeating, or compulsive shopping for example. If you indulge in any of these activities don’t worry, you’re in a judgment free zone. Managing your stress is an ongoing learning process and what you may feel are bad habits, can always be undone with good ones. Many times, when going through stress, giving yourself some self-care may be the starting point you need. Acts of self-care can relieve tension, irritability, and other symptoms. Your daily self-care rituals can be stress-relieving but also beneficial for your body and even your skin.

After a long day or before the start of one, take a shower to relax your muscles and improve your mood. After your shower, apply one of our After Shower Body Glow oils to your whole body on damp skin and allow yourself to feel revitalized and relaxed in the moment. You can even add a capful to a bath for some relaxing feels. Our After Shower Body Glow oils are formulated to calm while also keeping your spirits lifted and smelling great whenever you choose to use them. They have a careful balance of pure organic jojoba and avocado oils too to leave your skin feeling soft, nourished and peaceful, while giving a little boost to circulation.

Stress is a part of life that we can’t always control but we can control the way in which we manage your stress and that is what makes all the difference.
